She graduated from Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Ankara University in 1986. She completed her PhD thesis on “The Effect of Production and Maturation Stages in Turkish Salted White Cheese on Listeria monocytogenes” in 1992, in the Department of Food Hygiene and Technology, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Ankara University. From 06.09.1993 to 06.11.1993, she was in Germany (Berlin and Wernigerode) in order to improve her knowledge and experience and follow studies on the isolation and identification of Salmonella serotypes and in serotyping. She became an Associate Professor in 1996 and Professor in 2004 in the same Department. Between the years 2012-2015, she worked as the Head of the Department of Food Hygiene and Technology. She was a member of Social Activity Committee of Ankara University in 2016-2018 and a member of AÇAUM Board of Directors in 2015-2018. She has been completed supervision of a total of 12 PhD thesis and she has currently 3 graduate students. She has national and international publications and presentations and a book titled Veterinary Medicine and Veterinary Public Health. She has given undergraduate and graduate courses. Her foreign language is English and she is married and has two children.
